Setting up a recovery email on JumpCloud & MFA

To set up your personal email recovery, follow these steps:

1. Go to console.jumpcloud.com,

2. Click on Profile,

3. On the bottom right,

• Find the Recovery Email section,

4. Type in your personal email you’d like to use for password recovery (NOT your Hugo email),

5. Click Save,

6. A link would be sent to this recovery email for confirmation,

7. Click on the Verify Now! Button in the email,

8. Your recovery email will be automatically verified.

• If successfully verified, there will be a green check mark on the verified email field in step 4.

You would receive a verification success email sent to both your work and recovery email. If you don't get such, log out of your JumpCloud User portal and continue from step 7.

To set up MFA, follow these steps:

(IF YOU ALREADY HAVE GOOGLE AUTHENTICATOR OR SIMILAR, GO TO STEP 3)

1. Download JumpCloud Protect from your device’s App Store.

2. In console.jumpcloud.com, Click on Security,

3. Click on Set up TOTP,

4. On the right, click on I Have an App,

5. Scan the QR Code (Using the JumpCloud Protect or your authenticator app e.g Google Authenticator),

6. Type the code where it says Enter Code,

7. Click on Submit.
