Solution: Reinstall the driver directly from the manufacturer. After installation, run a disk check on the system files through Command Prompt
Steps:
Go to support.lenovo.com on your browser.
Hover over the PC section and click on “Detect Product”. Follow the instructions, you’ll get redirected to the support dashboard specifically for your laptop.
Navigate to “Drivers & Software”.
Select Manual update.
Select Camera and Card Reader from the list.
Click the Camera driver and tap on the download button.
Install the driver. (ACTION REQUIRES ADMIN ACCESS)
Run Command Prompt as an Administrator.
Input the command “CHKDSK /f /r” (without the quotes” ”) - to perform a file system check.
Follow the prompt if the scan doesn’t run immediately, (Input “Y” on your keyboard and hit Enter).
Afterwards, input “DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth” - this is option but sometimes required to Scan, Cleanup & Repair the operating system for corrupt files and attempts to restore them.
Restart the laptop, the scan would run during boot. Afterwards, the laptop would boot up.
